Award-winning chef brings fried chicken creation to Motorpoint Arena

Award-winning chef Alex Bond, known for his culinary creations at Mollis restaurant, is bringing his renowned fried chicken to Saltbox, a venue in Bolero Square, for a three-month kitchen takeover this summer.

Mollis chefs will prepare its signature fried chicken dishes fresh at Saltbox and the menu will feature a selection of its most popular offerings, aiming to elevate the dining experience for individuals attending live events at Saltbox, Motorpoint Arena, and the National Ice Centre.

Available every Friday and Saturday throughout May, June, and July, as well as during event days, guests can enjoy dishes like Nashville hot oil fried chicken with miso ranch, beer pickle, lollo rosso, and furikake, alongside Classic Southern fried chicken with kewpie mayo, pickles, lettuce, and cheese sauce, as well as Pink fir potato with truffle curd and crispy onions.

Sides will include fries with house seasoning, roasted garlic mayo, Katsu curry sauce, and Scotch Bonnet mayo.

Additionally, Saltbox will offer two special cocktails inspired by the Mollis brand, available from the food launch in May, and introduce a new drinks selection in June featuring craft beers, lagers, and selections from local breweries.

Bond also runs the Michelin-starred Alchemilla restaurant in Nottingham.
