Construction begins at £47m housing project
Avant Homes Central has begun construction on a £47m housing project to develop 200 homes in Somercotes, near Alfreton.
The 20-acre development, called Seely Fields, will compromise a mix of two, three, four and five-bedroom energy-efficient homes.
Out of the 200 homes, 30% have been designated to affordable housing and under section 106 £875,000 will be used to improve local secondary and post-16 education, public transport, open green spaces and local grass-root sports.
Avant Homes Central director, Matt Barker, said: “Work is progressing well at Seely Fields and we are looking forward to delivering a wide variety of quality new homes for everyone.
“As a multi-tenure housebuilder, we want to create vibrant communities and make owning a new home as accessible to as many people as possible wherever they are on their home-buying journey.
“We will do just that at Seely Fields, so anyone wanting to own one of our practically designed, energy-efficient homes should register their interest with us now ahead of our sales launch in June.”
