Hotel and golf complex swings into action with £500,000 upgrades

Morley Hayes, a hotel and golf complex in Derbyshire, is investing £500,000 to upgrade its facilities and improve its environmental efforts.
It has become the first in the region to install golf simulators from TrackMan, with £250,000 dedicated to this technology.
The new setup includes 23 screens in indoor bays and app-supported tracking for outdoor bays.
Additional upgrades include a new golf buggy path around the Tower Course and a fleet of electric E-Z-GO buggies introduced earlier this year.
Morley Hayes has also invested over £100,000 in a solar panel system, adding 202 panels to the driving range and 40 more on The Tower Café and near the biomass boiler. The panels generate 85 kW of electricity to power the main building, with plans for further expansion.
The Spike Bar has also been refurbished with new decor, carpets, and seating, ensuring a modern and welcoming atmosphere for guests.
Andrew Allsop, managing director at Morley Hayes said: “Despite a challenging couple of years for the hospitality sector, we remain committed to investing in excellence and innovation in order to provide our guests with the highest possible levels of service. This significant investment in technology, sustainability, and customer experience will reinforce Morley Hayes’ position as one of the region’s leading hotel, golf and leisure complexes.”
