Property developer promotes two to associate director

Derby-based property developer Clowes Developments has promoted Sarah Day and Rob Hopkinson to associate director.
Both joined the company in early 2022.
In 2022, Day decided to broaden her expertise from residential development to a more diverse, commercial role at Clowes.
Joining the team as a senior land manager under Robert Hepwood, land and planning director, Day has focused on identifying new land opportunities, managing the existing portfolio, advancing planning permissions, and maximising land receipts.
Hopkinson joined Clowes Developments in 2022, moving from a regional house builder to take on the role of technical manager, overseeing the Group’s technical operations.
With a background in civil engineering, he plays a key role in supporting the land & planning team by identifying new opportunities, progressing sites within the Group’s portfolio and managing infrastructure delivery on active development projects.
He said: “The past two years have been incredibly rewarding, filled with opportunities for growth and learning, and I would like to thank the team at Clowes for their support. It is refreshing to be part of a business where hard work and dedication are recognised, and I’m very proud to have taken this next step in my career. I look forward to contributing further to the Group’s growth and success in the future.”
Thomas Clowes, managing director of Clowes Developments, said: “Developing our team and rewarding hard work with opportunities to progress is something we’ve always been proud of. The promotion of Sarah and Rob further reinforces our commitment to nurturing talent.
“From day one they’ve bought into our ethos and lined up with our ambitions for the next few years. both in terms of ethics and personality. Sarah has brought a keen eye for quickly identifying opportunities and analysing market trends – along with an enviable phone book – whilst Rob has been the driving force behind addressing our
infrastructure concerns promptly and cost-effectively. Two valuable members of the team I’m happy to see moving forward.”
