Over 130 jobs at risk at Nottingham pork pie factory

Over 130 jobs are at risk at Nottingham-based The Compleat Food Group.
The pastry products maker has entered into discussions over redundancies at its Tottle bakery, according to reports in Just Food.
The Compleat Food Group make branded pies and private label products, but a company spokesperson said the move comes after a “comprehensive review of cold pie volume” at the plant.
The firm said the cuts are planned “across several departments at the site”. The spokesperson added: “This is due to changing demand in a competitive trading environment and to ensure we can continue to support the long-term sustainable future of roles at the site.”
The Compleat Food Group says it will not close the factory.
Last year, private equity-backed The Compleat Food Group, which owns two major factories in Nottingham, revealed that it had acquired speciality food producer and distributor Harvey & Brockless.
