Burton site brews up big development potential

The former Molsons Coor Brewery site in Burton-on-Trent is on the market, with planning consent in place for 284 apartments, a 154-key aparthotel, retail, leisure and office spaces.

Located on a 5.23-acre site, the mixed-use development is being marketed by Eddisons and features Grade II listed red brick buildings dating back to the mid-19th century.

Key amenities, which are just a short walk away, include Sainsbury’s, Marks & Spencer and Burton’s railway station.

Aman Verma of Eddisons in Leicester said: “Undoubtedly, the East Midlands hosts a number of former industrial sites set for redevelopment. However, to have one that is not only such a landmark in the town centre, but also with a range of
consented uses in place gives it an added profile to serious property investment & development interests who are looking for an ‘oven-ready’ opportunity with the advantage of heritage appeal.”
