Asset leasing firm expands operations with Newark site
An asset leasing firm is expanding its East Midlands operations with the addition of nearly five acres of storage land in Newark.
Dawson Group has leased the Brunel Drive site to expand its industrial equipment leasing, which will be managed from its Sutton-in-Ashfield base.
Lincoln agency Eddisons, in partnership with CPP, facilitated the deal on behalf of the landlord.
Daniel Poismans, Dawson Group’s head of operations said: “Secure serviced storage sites in established industrial, commercial locations on the edge of towns are highly prized by asset leasing operators. The Brunel Drive site, in being less than a mile from the A1, gives us solid, onward access to several regional and national road networks in serving and expanding our client base.”
On behalf of Eddisons, its Lincoln-based agent, Will Wall said: “Demand for secure, open storage sites is growing and it’s an active sub-sector within the industrial commercial property market. Such sites play a key part in the supply chain supporting infrastructure works and distribution logistics, whether that be for just ‘last mile’ uses or as part of a wider regional or national operation. It’s a buoyant lettings market and one that is attracting serious investor interest too.”
