Derbyshire insurance firm snapped up by Surrey counterpart

Access Insurance has acquired Derbyshire-based charity insurance broker, Ladbrook Insurance.
Ladbrook Insurance advises nearly 2000 clients from its Barlborough office. In the last quarter, Ladbrook worked with 325 third sector groups and made 13 charitable donations.
The deal will help Access in its vision to “grow to give”, as part of the Benefact Group, with all available profits given back to good causes.
Simon Hickman, CEO and founder at Access Insurance said: “Acquiring Ladbrook Insurance is a key milestone in our growth strategy over the next five years and reflects our appetite for growth. With increasing consumer duty requirements, we are open to further opportunities to acquire books of charity clients that align with our expertise in the third sector.”
“We look forward to welcoming the Ladbrook staff and almost 2,000 clients into the Access family. We are also pleased to now have a hub in Derbyshire for the advantage of our staff and clients based in the North.”
Tim Larden, CEO at Ladbrook, said: “I am pleased that Ladbrook is becoming part of a larger group which prides itself in educating and advising charities on managing risk and am excited about the additional benefits it will bring to our own client base as well as jumping into helping Access achieve ambitious growth goals.”
As part of the deal, Larden becomes the sales & marketing director at Access.
