Whatton Gardens – Open Garden for NGS
Often described by visitors as a hidden gem, this Country House garden is a relaxing experience for all the family. Listen to the birds, and enjoy home-made teas and walks through the many fine trees, spring bulbs and shrubs, large herbaceous border, traditional rose garden, ornamental ponds and lawns.

September Girls at The Maze
Fresh from a tour of the US, Irish band September Girls finish a successful tour of the UK in Nottingham tonight (Saturday 21) with a gig at The Maze. The band have recently released their second album ‘Age of Indignation’ to universal acclaim. Formed in Dublin in 2011 and named after the Big Star song (by way of The Bangles), September Girls share songwriting and vocal duties amongst each of the band members. They comprise Paula Cullen on bass, Caoimhe Derwin and Jessie Ward O’Sullivan on guitar, Lauren Kerchner on keys and drummer Sarah Grimes.

RYA Push the Boat Out at Staunton Harold Sailing Club
Experience a taste of sailing! Come along for a relaxing coffee and chat with our members and learn about our award winning sailing club. Watch the dinghy racing from 11.30 a.m. Learn about the RYA training courses on offer. Snacks and light lunches available to purchase at our volunteer-run galley.

This all-weather attraction is perfect for this weekend’s forecast. Meet and greet a variety of bugs, spiders, butterflies and lizards. Hands on interaction, feeding sessions, and a chance to learn more from the handler. Jungle Hut play area onsite too!

Moira Canal Festival
There will be boats, bands, bar, American Civil War historic reenactment and living history displays and a unique interpretation of the Battle of Bosworth. A conjurer, Punch and Judy man, crafty hands-on fun for children, Morris dancing, petting zoo, parrots, owls, stalls, exhibits and displays and maybe a chance to sample the olden days of being transported by a boat horse.
