Notts leasing company revs up a gear in move to new premises

A Nottinghamshire company specialising in vehicle leasing to the motor repair industry has opened a new showroom in Mapperley following funding from Barclays.
Vehicle Procurements (VP) was established in 2010 by Malcolm Ledgar. The company leases cars to body shops around the country and previously operated from Ledgar’s home. However, the business has gone from strength to strength and Ledgar identified the need for bespoke premises.
Having found suitable premises – a former petrol station and workshop – Ledgar approached Barclays to support with the expansion of the business.
The renovation has taken six months to complete and has been carried out to a very high standard. Malcolm took the decision to leave the original 1960’s workshop intact which houses some motor memorabilia and the business’ heritage collection of cars.
Ledgar said: “It has always been my ambition to have bespoke premises from which to operate our business and it’s a great place for us to conduct meetings with potential customers.”
Chris Newton, business manager at Barclays in Nottingham said: “I am delighted we have been able to support the company with the purchase of these premises. They provide a great platform on which they can continue to grow their leasing business and it’s great to see them winning new contracts on a monthly basis. The business is expected to turn over £7 million this year which is testimony to Malcolm’s hard work and commitment.”
