Accountancy and business advisory firm Smith Cooper has signed up as a sponsor of Nottingham Rugby for the seventh year running.

The firm, which is based in Lace Market Square, said it is “proud” to continue their support of the club.

Smith Cooper’s James Bagley, managing partner of the Nottingham office, said: “As a firm, we’ve always been huge supporters of Nottinghamshire sports and so when the opportunity to once again sponsor Nottingham Rugby presented itself we couldn’t pass it up.

“The team narrowly missed out on a play off place last season, which would have given them the chance to compete in the Premiership, however, we are proud to announce the continuation of our partnership with Nottingham Rugby, and wish them well for this season.

“This association is an exciting platform to reach out to the Nottingham community, as it helps the club to continue to provide sustainable projects and programmes in clubs, schools and the local communities.”

Steve Smith, general manager at Nottingham Rugby said: “Smith Cooper have been great supporters of Nottingham Rugby and we are pleased that they have decided to continue their partnership with us. It is an exciting time for the club and the backing we receive from businesses such as Smith Cooper allows us to sustain the valuable work we do in the community.”
