Plans revealed for 115 Lace Market apartments

Plans have been lodged with Nottingham City Council to turn two of the city’s most historic buildings into a 115-flat development.

The scheme, which will be developed by Abode Nottigham, around Trivett Square will see 10 Short Hill and 56 High Pavement be developed into flats designed by local firm Maber.

The designs are for a five-storey building with 36 car parking spaces and include 42 one-bedroom, 71 two-bedroom and two three-bedroom apartments.

The buildings currently include office space, but it is not clear what will happen to the businesses located in the buildings should the plans get the green light. It appears that the flats aren’t meant for students, but professionals.

Abode Nottingham’s registered address is in Harrow, Middlesex and the company is run by directors Sean O’Driscoll, Bhavna Patel and Charlotte Wyche.

Last month, Nottingham City Council gave the green light to a ten-storey apartment block adjacent to the proposed Trivett Square development.

The scheme, by Monk Estates, will include 85 apartments as well as a gym, retail space, meeting rooms and communal gardens.

The firm says it is aiming the scheme at young professionals.
