Europe-wide gaming group relocates to Bruntwood Works’ The Plaza

Stanleybet, the Liverpool-based gaming and betting company, has moved its HQ in to Bruntwood Works’ The Plaza.

The Europe-wide business has relocated from the nearby Exchange Station to the Old Hall Street office block where around 100 of its staff will be based.

The business, which operates 2,000 sites across the UK, Belgium, Cyprus, Italy and Malta, has moved into a fully refurbished 5,300 sq ft space on the 14th floor of the building.

It will use the new space to coordinate its network of more than 3,000 staff and partner operations across the continent. The firm also develops original gaming software for a range of commercial customers through its Magellan Robotech subsidiary.

Bruntwood Works has developed The Plaza in recent years under its £200m Pioneer programme, which aims to create workspaces for the future.

Its £3.7m investment at The Plaza includes a reimagined hospitality-led ground floor space, complete with large bike storage and high spec shower facilities, a fitness studio, study spaces, lounge and audio zones.

Other new features, such as a Bold Street Coffee shop and luxury dining space Nord, add to the building’s dynamic social culture and programme of community events, while customers can also take advantage of Bruntwood Works’ Spark programme to support growing businesses.

Stanleybet was originally founded in Ireland and moved its head office to Liverpool in 1979.

Tom Green, CFO at Stanleybet Group, said: “The location – close to the city centre, with train stations and car parks nearby – all the facilities within the building and, last but not least, an inspiring view above the Mersey river from our desks, made The Plaza an easy choice for the group when we decided to relocate our headquarters.”

Tony Reed, head of commercial at Bruntwood Works, said: “The Plaza has become a destination address for a large number of aspiring, ambitious businesses. Its new ground floor amenities and the sense of community collaboration in the building, allied with large refurbished spaces, make it a popular choice.

“Stanleybet Group is a well known name in the world of gaming and entertainment, with a strong locally-based workforce and plans for future growth.”
