Logistics giant takes 50,000 sq ft in Altrincham

INTERNATIONAL logistics group IJS Global UK has taken a 52,000 sq ft warehouse unit at an industrial estate in Altrincham.

The deal is thought to be the biggest industrial letting in south Manchester this year.

IJS has taken the space at George Richards Way in Altrincham.

The company said it reflected its expansion as it has outgrown its 16,000 sq ft base in the town. IJS has an option to take further space in an adjoining unit.

Charles Murray of Altrincham agent Regional Property Solutions (RPS) said: “This letting is an encouraging sign as industrialists are traditionally the first out of a recession and this letting is a clear vindication of this and reflects the recent upturn we are experiencing in industrial enquiries.”

RPS is a joint letting agent for the property along with TFC Commercial Property.
