Leading Bristol businessman to speak at lunch event

Alex Reilley

One of the biggest players in the UK’s hospitality sector is to be a guest speaker at a lunch organised by The BusinessDesk.com.

Alex Reilley is the co-founder of the Lounge and Cosy Club group. He opened a café bar in Bristol with two partners with the idea of creating the kind of place where his friends would like to spend their spare time.

Two decades later and there are now 200 venues across England and Wales.

A key part of the Loungers success has been the ability to find and transform neglected high street properties from banks to former supermarkets.

Not content with creating a new restaurant chain with its own unique character and style Alex and his business partners are now looking at reinventing the traditional roadside café.

The latest concept, Brightside, takes its inspiration from the 1970s and harks back to an era where a stop at a service station was a key part of the experience for families on their summer holidays.

Alex will give a fascinating insight into how to create a unique brand and build a national business from scratch.
