Tom Morris

The head of property firm CBRE’s Bristol office is to become the company’s new managing director for the Midlands & South.

In his new role Tom Morris will be responsible for the overall management, strategic direction and growth of the business across CBRE’s offices in Bristol, Birmingham and Southampton.

He will also oversee team of 150 professional staff.

Morris started his career at CBRE as a graduate in 2008 and gained experience in both consultancy and agency before becoming head of the Bristol office – which covers the South West and South Wales – in 2018.

Morris will take over the role of managing director for the Midlands & South from Martin Guest, who is taking on leadership of CBRE’s public sector team.

Guest has worked at CBRE for over 25 years and will lead a team of public sector experts across the UK to further capitalise on the opportunities the sector presents.

He said: “I’m proud to have the opportunity to build on Martin Guest’s fantastic work in driving CBRE’s operations across the Midlands and South.

“We have strong teams across our Bristol, Birmingham and Southampton offices, with impressive local knowledge across their regions, backed by the benefit of CBRE’s global platform.

“We’ll continue to focus on exceptional client service as we look for fresh opportunities to grow the business further in these regions and I’m excited to get started.”

Adam Hetherington, executive director at CBRE Advisory Services, added: “We are delighted to kick off 2023 with these key appointments.

“Tom is a long-established CBRE employee and a brilliant leader who has already played a tremendous role in the success of our business. His new role will allow us to look for further growth opportunities and ensure we deliver for our clients across the region.”
