Airline cabin interiors company signs new lease at Bournemouth Airport

A company which manufactures, certifies and maintains cabin interiors for major world airlines on Airbus and Boeing aircraft has moved into a new office at Bournemouth Airport.

In a lease deal through property consultancy Vail Williams, Avic Cabin Systems (UK) Ltd (ACS UK) signed a 11-year lease on two floors of three-storey Loewy House, 11 Enterprise Way, Aviation Business Park, Christchurch.

The company leased 21,240 sq ft on the ground and first floors, together with 120 car parking spaces.

Vail Williams acted for the landlord, Lewis Investment, and Savills represented ACS UK in the letting.

David Cowling, a Vail Williams partner in Dorset, said: “Loewy House is in the heart of Aviation Business Park, which supports more than 200 businesses in a range of mixed accommodation, with ACS UK leasing the ground and first floors.

“This transaction represents one of the largest office lettings in Dorset this year and we are very pleased to have achieved this excellent letting on behalf of syndicated property specialist Lewis Investment, whose investors are delighted.

“The second floor at 4,739 sq ft will be available to let, following refurbishment, and we are confident that a letting will be secured once the works are completed.”

A spokesperson for ACS UK, which employs 135 people locally, said: “This move reaffirms our long-term commitment to the Bournemouth region.

“As a global supplier of galleys, stowages and premium class cabin interiors to international airlines for installation in Airbus and Boeing aircraft, with capabilities extending to a number of related test, repair and distribution services, Loewy House provides an excellent working environment for engineering and support staff.”

Alastair Warwick-Smith for Lewis Investment said: “We are delighted to have secured ACS UK as a tenant on behalf of our investors, a company that has been in the Bournemouth area for over 50 years, working with airlines such as Emirates, British Airways and Virgin Atlantic.

“This is one of the largest recent office lettings in Dorset and underpins our confidence in Aviation Business Park, where we have completed three major lettings post-Covid.

“We now only have the 4,739 sq ft second floor of Loewy House remaining, which will be ready for occupation mid-summer 2025 following refurbishment.”

Vail Williams and Goadsby are joint marketing agents of Loewy House.
