Birmingham property firm Harris Lamb has supported independent energy consultancy TNEI on the refurbishment and relaunch of its Manchester city centre headquarters.

TNEI, which advises organisations operating within the conventional and renewable energy sectors, retained Harris Lamb with respect to its London Road office as it was keen to improve its quality to benefit staff and clients alike.

Andy Smith, of Harris Lamb’s Lease Advisory team, said: “TNEI occupy 5,000 sq ft, and retained us to advise them in respect of the operation of a break option in order to either secure new offices within Manchester city centre or look into the potential refurbishment of their current space.

“After a comprehensive search of alternative sites, we drew up a shortlist, while working with TNEI’s existing landlords, who, naturally, were keen to retain the business as a client.

“We were able to agree a mutually beneficial deal that provided TNEI with a high quality, fully refurbished office, whilst retaining a longstanding and reliable tenant for the landlord.”

In its appointed role, Harris Lamb instructed Birmingham-based City Office Interiors to space plan and undertake the refurbishment.

Nigel Tate, Commercial Director at TNEI, said: “We are extremely happy with the outcome of this instruction. Despite the very tight timescales in respect of the break option, this was delivered on time with the minimum of disruption to our business.”
