Barclays Wealth renews Forward support

BARCLAYS Wealth has renewed its patronage of Birmingham Forward, along with Sir Robert McAlpline, Birmingham City University and HBJ Gateley Wareing.

Forward represents the region’s professional services sector, acting as both a networking and lobby group for the sector. Last year it celebrated its 20th anniversary, and is expected to announce a number of new patrons within the next week.

Jackie Hendley, chairman of Birmingham Forward, said: “We are delighted that Barclays Wealth has renewed its association with Birmingham Forward.

“As a region we are embarking on a number of exciting projects, including the Big City Plan, High Speed 2, New Street Station Gateway and the establishment of LEPs. It is by working collaboratively with local organisations and businesses to support such initiatives that we will help to drive the local economy and make sure our voice is heard.”

Ben Gulliford, Barclays Wealth’s regional centre head for Birmingham, said: “We are delighted to resume our association with Birmingham Forward. The city has one of the strongest identities in the UK and Europe, and there is a collective ethos between the members to contribute to its growth and success. Birmingham is a dynamic place to do business and this is just one of a number of initiatives Barclays Wealth is involved in to support the city.”

Barclays Wealth’s Birmingham office has a team of 112 employees including private bankers, investment managers, financial planners and credit specialists, providing bespoke wealth management solutions to clients across the Midlands.
