Second company in housing group enters administration

Saxonby

Administrators have taken over at a second Saxonby company while construction remains “paused” on all live sites.

41 jobs were lost last month when Saxonby (Affordable Housing) was forced to enter administration.

FRP Advisory partners Rajnesh Mittal and Steven Stokes have now been appointed as joint administrators of sister company Saxonby (Homes), although no jobs have been lost because the company outsources all of its construction work.

Work at all live construction sites has stopped while administrators explore the options and other companies in the Shrewsbury-based group “continue to trade as normal”, administrators said.

“Financial difficulties resulted in the company entering administration,” said Mittal. “We are currently evaluating options to sell all or parts of the business.”
