St. Modwen gets the nod for 200 extra homes

St. Modwen Homes has been given the green light to build an additional 205 homes at Longbridge on the historic MG Rover site that was once home to the MINI in Birmingham.

Birmingham City Council resolved to grant full planning permission which will see three apartment blocks erected on land situated just off Dalmuir Road.

The homes will include 100 one bedroom apartments and 105 two bedroom apartments. The scheme will also deliver affordable housing.

All three apartment blocks will have communal roof terraces.

Dave Smith, managing director at St. Modwen Homes, said: “Longbridge is fast becoming a thriving community hub from which people can live, work and play. We are delighted to receive planning on what is another phase of many. These new apartments represent a positive next step in the regeneration of the area and will provide sought-after homes, conveniently located next to public transport links and amenities.”
