Plans for major student scheme voted through
The former ‘The Trees’ public house site on Bristol Road in Birmingham into a 620-bedroom student scheme.
The development, bought forward by Fusion, will comprise of four linked blocks of 17, 10, 10 and eight storeys, arranged around a private courtyard.
The blocks will contain clusters of three to four rooms, alongside studios, twodios and one bedroom units. Features include a 24-hour concierge, study spaces, a cinema room, laundry room, lounges, a gym and a basketball court.
Plans for the site were originally submitted as 31-storeys and then 26, but plans were refused in April.
