Plans submitted for major student and BTR scheme

Plans have been lodged for the transformation of the former Queens Hospital on Bath Row.
A partnership between McLaren Property and Aventicum are bringing forward a 728-bed student scheme, alongside 189 build to rent apartments in a canal-side setting.
The development will be set across a 31-storey, two 10-storeys and two seven-storeys.
It also involves the conversion of two Grade II* listed properties into a gym, workspace, cycle storage and cafe, with the other building used to accommodate 52 post-graduate studios.
Three private landscaped canal-side areas also feature in plans, with a further courtyard and terrace area reserved for a community garden in the centre of the site.
