Listed Georgian mansion house hotel reinstates ballroom
The Park Hall Hotel & Spa has announced the reinstatement of its ballroom following the completion of a Ministry of Justice contract.
With the capacity to hold 550 people, the listed Georgian mansion house was used as a Nightingale Court through the pandemic. Set within the Staffordshire countryside, it also offers 74 bedrooms which were able to be used through the duration of the contract.
Angela Bir, the owner said: “The Hotel was ideally suited to assist during the pandemic because of its large event space, hosting non-custodial cases such as fines and community service orders. As the event space is separate, it allowed us to continue providing hotel accommodation without any disruption”.
The ballroom, which was in use by the courts has now been transformed back into a luxury event space catering for family events, parties, and weddings, available to book from May 2024 onward.
While this change to the Hotel is taking place, the owners are planning to build a stylish and contemporary 120-seater restaurant within the hotel, which will open in June 2024. This new restaurant will also be open to non-residential guests.
