ThinCats, an alternative finance provider for small and medium-sized businesses, has funded Omni Partners’ investment in Compass Continuing Healthcare (Compass CHC).

Birmingham-based Compass CHC helps people secure NHS continued healthcare funding for care outside hospitals.

Founded in 2014, Compass CHC has a team of over 70 specialists guiding claimants through the NHS continuing healthcare funding process.

ThinCats, headquartered in Leicester, supported the transaction, enabling Omni to work with Compass CHC to improve its services and expand its reach.

Dave Sherrington, managing director, London and South East, ThinCats, said: “We are delighted to have worked alongside Omni on another fantastic transaction. Tim and the expert team at Compass CHC have a clear vision and together with Omni are well placed to take the business to another level. It’s gratifying that we can support investment into a business that is playing a major role in an increasingly important market, and we are excited to see Compass CHC realise its growth ambitions.”

Compass CHC will continue operating under its current management, focusing on improving its offerings and exploring growth opportunities.

Charles Gallagher-Powell, partner at Omni, said: “Tim and his team have helped thousands of people receive the correct care funding over the past decade, and have built a fantastic business along the way. His vision and values chimed with us from day one, so it was a no-brainer when given the chance to partner with him and amplify Compass CHC’s positive impact on society. This is a classic Omni investment – mission-led founder, societal good at its core, and a team united in their passion for helping people at the most vulnerable point in their lives.”
