Stepnell builds new Rugby base for law firm

RUGBY-based construction company Stepnell is building new offices for regional law firm Brethertons.

The purpose-built £2.3m, three-storey building in Clifton Road, Rugby, will  enable the company to bring together its entire Rugby team – currently based in three offices – under one roof.

Rugby-based HB Architects has designed the building, incorporating architectural features which are sympathetic to the local Rugby School conservation area.

It will benefit from an open-plan, flexible design with break-out rooms and individual meeting rooms for clients.

The building is on its own detached plot on the site of the former Glebe House building, which is currently being demolished by the Stepnell team.

The new office is set to be completed in spring 2014.

Stepnell managing director Mark Wakeford said: “As a Rugby-based company, we are delighted to be working on this project to create a high-quality new building providing state-of-the art office accommodation for Brethertons.”

Brethertons senior partner Richard Pell said: “It would be an understatement to say that we are excited about our new premises. Bringing over 100 people under the same roof in Rugby will be another landmark date for our firm.”
