Surveying firm makes the move to Edgbaston

CHARTERED surveying firm Pennycuick Collins is moving its HQ to 54 Hagley Road in Edgbaston.

The Birmingham firm is making the short move from Broad Street where it is currently based.

Property adviser GVA negotiated the 5,359 sq ft letting.

Pennycuick Collins has taken space on the 12th floor of the 140,000 sq ft building on a five-year lease.

54 Hagley Road has undergone an extensive £17m refurbishment across all floorplates to provide flexible Grade A accommodation. Other tenants include wholesale supplier Visual Food, quantity surveyor Francis Graves and construction and property consultancy RLF.

George Jennings, associate at GVA, said: “Pennycuick Collins has occupied offices on the west side of the city for a number of years and was keen to stay close to its existing premises on Broad Street.”

Charles Gillett of Pennycuick Collins said: “We took a decision to move to 54 Hagley Road after seeing the outstanding redevelopment of the building. The space demonstrates value for money and we were impressed by the generous car parking.

“Altogether these benefits convinced us that 54 is the ideal premises for our business.”

This letting leaves 44,000 sq ft of available space in the building.

GVA acts as joint agent with GBR Phoenix Beard and JLL.
