Bromsgrove hospital buys cosmetic surgery clinic

A BROMSGROVE private hospital has bought a Manchester cosmetic surgery clinic out of administration.

The Hospital Medical Group has acquired Surgicare for an undisclosed sum through a new vehicle, RAM1001.

Joint administrators Chris Ratten and Jeremy Woodside at RSM Tenon, who were appointed to Surgicare on October 29, said the deal has saved 37 jobs.

Mr Ratten said: “We are pleased to have secured the successful sale of Surgicare and certain assets, as it means that a significant number of people will remain in work, and that they will be able to fulfil existing obligations to patients currently receiving treatment.”

Just five months ago, Surgicare bought Harley Street-based practice Plastic Surgery Partners for a seven-figure sum.

RSM Tenon did not reveal the extent of Surgicare’s liabilities.
