EY has appointed Tom Roseff to head its real estate tax advisory practice in Yorkshire as confidence returns to the regional property market.
He will help investors, developers, lenders, construction businesses and owner occupiers to efficiently plan for and manage their tax positions to unlock additional value on both new property transactions and existing assets.
Roseff, who has more tha 20 years’ tax advisory experience, re-joins EY as a senior manager having spent three and a half years with the firm between 2000 and 2003.
A chartered accountant with experience working for some of the country’s most prominent real estate businesses, Roseff most recently spent four years as a senior tax manager at Saffery Champness’ Yorkshire practice and has also had spells with two other leading business advisory firms.

ANDREW Foggitt has joined Leeds-based Gregory Property Group to help develop its portfolio of assets and seek new development opportunities in the residential sector.
The announcement supports plans by Gregory Property Group to invest in new sites as the residential market shows an upturn. .
Foggitt who is a well-known operator in the Yorkshire region, has previously held senior roles with Donaldsons Chartered Surveyors, Tranville Developments and Buzzard Developments.
He has managed a total asset value of £45m with residential schemes in Yeadon, Horsforth and Rawdon and commercial projects including Lidl in Rotherham, B&Q and Halfords in Grimsby, Co-op in Leeds, Trafalgar Park in Keighley.
Gregory Property Group chairman Barry Gregory said: “We are delighted to bring Andrew on board. His sector expertise, development background and passion for the residential sector will be extremely valuable as we move into a new phase of site acquisitions. We are now actively seeking opportunities to acquire suburban sites to deliver modest new housing across Yorkshire and already have a number of sites under review.”
Notable projects within the Gregory Property Group portfolio include the £40m mixed use scheme at Broad Street Plaza in Halifax and the £40m retail park at Foss Islands in York.

CHARTERED surveyors Bowcliffe has recruited Mark Rugg from Eddisons.
Rugg is an experienced building surveyor who will help Bowcliffe continue to grow its Leeds office.
