New development set to build on regeneration success

CROSSBOW Investments has purchased a site in Sheffield to build eco-friendly student accommodation on.
The 675 sq m scheme on Henry Street, comprising 47 units of urban-chic cabin style accommodation, follows the developer’s acquisition of 1576 sq m of land at Dunfields in Kelham Island for 18 individual plots which has been developed into student accommodation.
hlw Keeble Hawson acted for Crossbow Investments in both developments – acquiring the land for each of the sites and managing all processes for the off plan sales at Dunfields. The design remit for both sites is being carried out by multi-award winning architects Coda Studios.
Crossbow Investments managing director, David Cross, said: “We’re extremely proud to contribute to the vibrant regeneration of brown field sites such as Kelham Island which reinforces how Sheffield has clearly identified the needs of modern living and puts the city at the cutting edge of urban development. Much has been achieved to date and there is a wealth of potential to build on the success.”
Richard Smith, partner at the Sheffield office of hlw Keeble Hawson, added: “Both schemes demonstrate Crossbow Investment’s formative role in the city’s vibrant regeneration programme. Both acquisitions will undoubtedly further enhance the dynamism and popularity of the Kelham district.”
