Electronics consultancy goes for growth after office move

The Ignys team

A Nottingham-based electronics design consultancy has revealed ambitious plans for growth after moving into new premises.

Ignys is expecting to add another 5 members of staff to its team over the next 12 months, but says its new office at the Isaac Newton Centre on the Nottingham Science Park has capacity for 22 people, which could mean a number of further additions in the future.

The firm, which was established in 2017 at Nottingham University’s Innovation Centre, currently boasts a team of 8 people. Its new office will allow the company to grow both its headcount and the range of services it offers.

In the last 12 months, Ignys has worked on a variety of projects from temperature monitoring tools to Smart Home Technology, from low power 868MHz radio networks to novel building air tightness measurement equipment.

Marketing manager Nigel Davey said: “The new office has capacity for about 22 people, so should allow us to continue to grow at this rate for another three years.”
