Plans revealed for student scheme above Hockley retail unit

Megaclose, the Nottingham student accommodation provider, has revealed plans to turn the upper floors of a Hockley retail unit into a 27-bed development.

Designed by Rayner Davies Architects, the scheme will see the upper two floors – and an additional third floor – of the building on Goose Gate in Hockley turned into cluster flats for use by students. The ground floor will remain for retail use.

The first floor will be reconfigured to allow a 10-bedroom unit, the second floor will accommodate a 9-bedroom unit and the third floor an 8-bedroom unit.
