Enterprising Borley steps up again

Ian Borley

Ian Borley has been appointed as KPMG’s head of enterprise for the Midlands. He takes over from Stephen Craik who plans to retire in 2017.

Enterprise, which is KPMG’s offering for privately-owned businesses, was launched in the Midlands under Craik’s leadership in 2014. Borley takes on the leadership role with immediate effect.

Borley will take on the role alongside his existing responsibilities as senior partner for the East Midlands.

Mike Steventon, Midlands regional chair at KPMG, said: “Ian has an impressive background working with businesses in the private and public sectors, and his knowledge will provide invaluable insight and advice for clients. He has worked with some of the most successful brands in the local market and we’re confident we have the right people in place to continue driving our business forward.”

Borley added: “The Enterprise market in the region is booming and we expect to see further significant growth in the future. However, it’s likely that turbulent times are ahead following the Brexit vote and the US Presidential Election result, and careful planning and tactics are essential if privately-owned businesses are going to continue to thrive. Now, more than ever, these businesses need access to the best possible advice, from professionals who really understand the issues and who are proactive in bringing relevant, value-adding solutions to their clients.

“I’m really looking forward to leading the KPMG Enterprise team through these challenges, and working more closely with businesses across the region.”
