Turnover and jobs boost for IT firm

A business software solutions firm says it is set for further expansion after it doubled employee numbers and boosted turnover.
Ochiba Business Solutions, based in Chesterfield, provides IT business solutions from SAP.
Ochiba increased its turnover from £970,000 in 2013 to £1.8m last year, and is now forecasting a £2m turnover for 2016.
The company has also welcomed three new faces to the workforce, bringing staff numbers to 25 compared with 12 in 2013.
Director Gordon Wood said: “We moved to our bigger premises in Barlborough Links Office Park two years ago and, shortly after, created the management team behind our growth strategy.
“From there we extended our support teams, as well as increasing consultancy capabilities. This was an important platform for our growth to date and will serve us well for further expansion plans in 2017.
“Following our recent growth, the next step is to extend the business development capabilities again for increased sales potential. SAP Business One occupies a unique position within the SME market and is the fastest growing product in the manufacturing, distribution, and service sectors.
“We are now in a position to look at further market expansion targeting the larger end of the SME market, while the new job roles and staff will enhance the Ochiba team and allow us to continue to focus some of our sales effort on those larger SME projects, too.”
Account manager David Johnson replaces James Thompson who has moved on to business development manager.
Two newly created jobs see Simon Lacey and Rebecca Long joining to the team as senior SAP consultants.
