Traffic alert: Long delays on M1 in Leicestershire after accident

Commuters are set to experience delays this morning after an accident on the M1 in Leicestershire is causing long tailbacks, says Highways England.

There are currently long delays between J23 and J24A northbound on the M1 due to an ongoing incident within J24 where 2 lanes (of 3) are currently closed.

Highways England says that road users are advised to allow extra time to complete their journey plans if travelling in this direction or to consider using an alternative route.
