Fast-growing coffee shop chain set to expand into Leicester

A fast-growing East Midlands independent coffee chain is set to open its fifth site in Leicester.

200 Degrees Coffee, which was set in Nottingham up by Rob Darby and Tom Vincent in 2012, will open its fifth site on Market Street in Leicester in the former Lumbers Jewellers on Market Street in the heart of the city’s shopping district.

The firm is currently advertising for staff including a general manager to run the new outlet.

200 Degrees has recently opened its fourth coffee shop in Leeds, to add to its existing two in Nottingham and one in Birmingham.

Earlier this year, Vincent said: “Our three existing coffee shops seem to go from strength to strength each week and that’s given us confidence to look to more cities.

“We have other prospects under development and aim to open two more in fairly quick succession.”

The Leeds opening was the third new 200 Degrees outlet to open this year after a second in Nottingham and a debut in Birmingham.
