Dunelm swoops for George at Asda boss

Syston-based homewares giant has hired for the former boss of George at Asda to boost its burgeoning fashion business.

Fiona Lambert, who graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a fashion degree in the mid-’80s, will take up her job as product director at Dunelm as the company looks towards the fashion market.

Lambert worked at George for eight years before being promoted to run own label brand development for Asda. She relaunched the Asda home range under the George name.

She is reported as saying: “‘There are great opportunities in the home market and Dunelm is in the perfect position to capitalise on them.”
