East Midlands Airport to create 350 jobs
East Midlands Airport is set to create 350 jobs to help with the increase in summer travellers.
Vacant positions to be highlighted at jobs fair on Saturday January 28 include work at cargo companies on site and passenger services, including; security and car parking, the airport’s premium Escape Lounge, airline staff, check-in agents and shops, hotels, bars & restaurant staff.
Jack Kelly, head of external affairs East Midlands Airport said: “We’ve experienced an incredible year of growth during 2016 and we are expecting an incredibly busy summer this year. With our summer season beginning in April, we’re already recruiting for our summer staff.
“The job fair offers people a chance to talk to the companies based on site about the types of jobs on offer and get advice on how to make the most of your CV.
“Working at an airport is very exciting and with over 90 businesses on site employing around 7,000 people, it’s a great place to develop yourself and your skills.”
In addition, the Airport Academy, a dedicated employment and education facility for adults, will also be exhibiting and talking to people about how they can develop their workplace skills and any new opportunities available across the airport site.
