Union moves to new regional base in Nottingham

Unite, the UK’s largest union, is set to move to a larger regional base in Nottingham.

Unite will move into self-contained offices at 8 Castle Quay in a deal brokered by FHP on behalf of landlord Regentsmead.

Mark Tomlinson of FHP Property Consultants said: “This property unsurprisingly gathered excellent levels of interest and after just four weeks of marketing, we brought the process to a sealed bids process.

“This, among some other recent transactions, highlights the lack of freehold options in the city centre and as such we are seeing an improvement in capital values driven by increased occupier demand and scarcity of supply.

“I am sure the property will serve as an excellent premises for Unite the Union given the buildings profile, being located just off Castle Boulevard, which is a highly accessible location for the members.”
