On the move: the latest East Midlands hires
Risk and insurance adviser JLT Specialty has appointed Henry Gallacher as business development executive for the East Midlands as growth continues.
Gallacher started his career in insurance after graduating from University, when he joined a small insurance broker in Birmingham called Arthur Marsh & Son. After three and a half years, he joined Willis to focus on larger and more complex companies. He spent six and a half years at Willis moving from the commercial operation to the large corporate space.
Gallacher said: “I joined JLT Specialty as I could clearly see the massive potential for the practice in the Midlands. The deep expertise of the wider JLT Group and what that can bring to clients in the region is a great attraction. I am excited about my new role and will enjoy the ability to be flexible and look for ways to help new clients, as well as working within a fantastic team with a ‘can-do’ attitude, which is a breath of fresh air for me.”

Derby-based Shapcott Accountants has appointed a new senior client relationship and accounts manager.

Stephen Walker joins Shapcotts after 12 years as finance director at the Derbyshire-based logistics firm Lockwood Group.
