Two major development sites in Derbyshire have been sold for seven-figure sums.

Agency Fisher German has brokered deals to offload the development land in Shirland and Eckington – and has been appointed to act on two more sites in North East Derbyshire.

Fisher German acted on behalf of a private land owner to sell a site off Main Road, in Shirland, with planning permission for 92 homes to house builder Wheeldon Homes.

The development is set to feature starter and family homes ranging from two to four bedrooms and work is due to begin this autumn.

Fisher German has also acted on behalf of another private land owner and land promoter Hallam Land Management to sell a site off Staveley Lane, in Eckington, with planning permission for 90 dwellings to Strata Homes.

It will include two, three and four-bedroom homes, infrastructure works commenced in August 2017 with houses expected to be available for sale in 2018.

Ben Marshalsay, partner at Fisher German, said: “We are very pleased to have sold the two sites. Both Shirland and Eckington are on the edge of the Peak District National Park, offering a countryside location while still being commutable to nearby cities including Sheffield and Derby.

“Both sites will bring much-needed homes to North East Derbyshire from house builders which provide high quality properties. The site in Eckington is also based next to Renishaw Hall and Gardens, giving a particularly stunning rural outlook.”

Fisher German has been appointed to act on a further two sites in North East Derbyshire, including a 25 acre greenfield site which has been allocated for development and a 16 acre site which has a planning application submitted for 80 dwellings.
