Northants hotel sold for £6m

The 88-bedroom Hampton by Hilton Corby/Kettering in Northamptonshire has been sold to asset management company Frank Truman for around £6m.

According to reports in The Caterer, the hotel will continue to be managed by Legacy Hotels & Resorts, and will retain the Hampton by Hilton name as part of a franchise agreement.

The hotel was Europe’s first Hampton by Hilton, and features three conference suites, a business centre, restaurant and bar, and fitness room.

Andy Townsend, chief executive at Legacy Hotels & Resorts, said: “We are delighted to have been able to support the sale process of the hotel having operated it for the past few years and clearly we are pleased to have been able to secure a new agreement on the hotel with one of our principal investors.”

Henry Jackson, partner at Knight Frank, which advised on the sale, said: “There was strong interest in this asset, and we are pleased to have overseen a successful transaction. The supply of available hotels in the market remains limited, so we are seeing considerable interest in the sector when opportunities arise.”
