Leicester restaurant ready to re-open after refurb

Bistrot Pierre, on Millstone Lane in Leicester, has reopened after a refurbishment in time to launch its its seasonal autumn/winter menu launch.

The restaurant also welcomes Kam Chagger as new general manager, who returns to his hometown.

He said: “I have been in the restaurant industry for more than 15 years and have always admired Bistrot Pierre. Being from Leicester, I am of course aware of its fantastic offering.”

The refurbishment includes a new colour scheme, new lighting, wall art and fittings.

“We’re also delighted to now be offering diners our newly launched autumn/winter menu which is now being served at the bistrot. This includes our customers’ favourites boeuf bourguignon maison and confit de canard as well as exciting new dishes including poulet chasseur – which is pan-fried chicken in a classic chasseur sauce of red wine, mushroom and concassé tomato,” added Chagger.

Co-founder Rob Beacham said: “We may have grown but we have strong roots in the region – this is home for us,” said Rob.

“Leicester was the third restaurant in the Bistrot Pierre family, it’s a restaurant that’s become part of the fabric of the city and we want to ensure that it stays that way by ensuring that it maintains the Bistrot Pierre ethos.

“This is a turning point for our bistrot which offers authentic French cooking and seasonal menus; combining French bistrot classics with regional favourites. I believe that our Leicester bistrot maintains this ethos – and has done for the past 14 years.

“I’m sure that our loyal following of dedicated diners will be as excited about the bistrot’s new look as we are and I look forward to seeing their reactions.”Leicester
