Accountancy firm Smith Cooper has launched a new company – Infuse Security.

Infuse Security offers a range of IT security services, including audits, vulnerability testing, risk intelligence/ management and GDPR Gap Analysis.

Paul Howard, managing director of Infuse Security said: “The IT industry as we know it is undergoing a radical transformation, and the need to comply with new regulations is more important than ever, particularly as many businesses IT requirements are shifting into a software or cloud based dimension.

“Recent ransomware attacks having global implications, and the impending introduction of GDPR has triggered risk analysis and correct data protection within businesses, whilst the growing use of cloud services has businesses not knowing where their data is.”

“Furthermore, it is now essential that government suppliers are cyber essentials compliant. We saw a gap in the IT security services market, and as a result Infuse Security was born. Built from a team of accredited enterprise security consultants we have invested heavily to ensure the right people are with us.”

James Bagley, managing partner of Smith Cooper, added: “At Smith Cooper, we have worked very hard to create a strong brand synonymous with trustworthy and proactive advice. Our clients operate in a range of industries, and we strive to offer services they truly need. We pride ourselves on our ability to diversify, continually developing innovative solutions to help our clients achieve their business aims.

“Secure technology is more important than ever before, and a strategic review of our group companies identified an opportunity. Recent ransomware attacks that shook global organisations shone a spotlight on IT systems, particularly the protection of sensitive data, encouraging organisations to clean up their data and utilise more sophisticated technology systems.”
