Barclays opens corporate office in Nottingham

Barclays has launched a corporate office above its existing branch on Nottingham High Street following significant investment in the premises.

The bank said the investment aligns with Barclays entering a new lease at the premises, underlying its commitment to the city and wider county.

The launch sees the corporate team, previously based at Maid Marian Way, co-locate with their business banking colleagues.

The new premises will accommodate corporate staff which will enable the growing team to continue to offer the full range of corporate banking, investment and private banking solutions to new and existing clients in the region.

Keith Ross, head of Barclays Corporate Banking in the East Midlands, said: “The East Midlands, and indeed Nottingham, is an important city within the region, both are thriving and the move to the new offices is a significant investment in our regional offering acknowledging the future opportunities. The new office  provides an excellent environment for both our clients and as importantly our colleagues, and enables us to bring our banking operations under one roof, for the first time in many years,  as well as demonstrating our ongoing commitment to the local economy and wealth creation in the region.”

The premises were officially opened by MP Chris Leslie who said: “I’m delighted that in what may be uncertain times for some businesses Barclays is choosing to invest in new corporate offices in Nottingham, showing their faith in the future of the city.”
