Packaging firm expands Nottingham footprint

Packaging and design company Simply Carton has leased a 31,000 sq ft warehouse at Bleachers Yard as part of an expansion plan in Nottingham.

The firm, which has its head office on Perry Road in the city turned over around £17.5m last year and employs around 125 people in the city.

The deal was brokered by Tim Gilbertson at FHP Property Consultants on behalf of private pension fund clients.

Gilbertson said: “I was delighted to offer good quality warehouse and production space on behalf of our clients and whilst I anticipated good demand the demand that was immediately generated was somewhat overwhelming.

“Four or five parties would have taken this building without delay and our clients chose to progress with Simply Cartons, a Nottingham based company expanding rapidly who, like so many parties in the market, were desperate to take additional space to meet their bulging order book.

“From going to the market to the tenants taking occupation took less than 3 months, a great result all round and Simply Cartons acquired superb space whilst we achieved our aim very quickly for our clients and let this building without delay.”
