Miller Homes to spend £300,000 on community projects in Notts

Miller Homes Midlands pledges to invest £300,000 into developments in the Farnsfield community ahead of the launch of its Augustus Grange development

Miller Homes Midlands says it is investing over £300,000 into the local community as part of its latest development in Farnsfield, Nottinghamshire.

Work is now well under way at its Augustus Grange development off Milldale Road, with the housebuilder’s contribution supporting a number of local initiatives.

As part of the funding, a £148,915 contribution will be invested in Farnsfield St Michael’s Church of England Primary School, with a further £70,875 used to provide and maintain facilities at the Farnsfield Village Hall, and the local cricket, football, tennis and bowls clubs. A new children’s play area will also be created, with a donation of £54,194.

Miller Homes says it is investing in transport links around the village, with £22,000 pledged in order to carry out improvements at two major bus stops. Also, the Southwell Trail will see a £5,000 injection of funds, which will be used for new signage and restoration work. A further £2,323 will also be donated to the local library for new books, taking the total to £303,307.

Alastair Parsons, area sales director for Miller Homes Midlands, said: “Supporting the local community within each area we build is imperative to us. By investing in places such as schools, transport and leisure facilities, we’re helping to enhance an already thriving community in Farnsfield.

“It’s always pleasing watching our plans come to life – we’re sure that Augustus Grange and the new infrastructure will complement the village perfectly.”
