Derby industrial units sold for £11.5m

Two industrial units totaling more than 100,000 sq ft on Derby Commercial Park have been sold for £11.5m.

Property consultants CBRE and Avison Young advised Goodman on the sale of units 1A (32,743 sq ft) and 1B (69,128 sq ft) to a private investor.

Unit 1B is pre-let to CH Robinson, the transportation and third-party logistics company, on a 15-year lease. Unit 1A is available to let.

Oliver Forster, director in CBRE’s capital markets team in Birmingham said: “The Midlands has dominated the investment market in the past year, accounting for 37 per cent of investment sales by value within the logistics and manufacturing sector, driven by continuing strong occupier demand, rental growth and property fundamentals.

“The pre-let to C.H. Robinson demonstrates the strength of the occupational market in this location, particularly in the mid-size box range, and the excellent investor appetite.”

Everton Philips advised the purchaser.
