Yü Energy, the Nottingham-based energy provider to businesses, has landed a contract to supply energy to Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club.

The company will provide utilities for the next three seasons and will also be partnering on a range of energy related initiatives including the provision of mobile phone charging points and future renewable energy solutions for Trent Bridge.

The Fox Road Stand has been re-named The Yü Energy Stand as part of the agreement.

Yü Energy chief executive Bobby Kalar said: “We are absolutely delighted to be partnering with Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club.

“It’s an honour for Yü Energy to be powering Trent Bridge cricket ground which is such an iconic international sporting venue.

“Our partnership will allow Trent Bridge to benefit from our unique offering, with the convenience of bringing together the gas, electricity and water supply all in one place. We believe this is just the start of an exciting long-term partnership.”

Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club commercial director Michael Temple said: “Our partnership with Yü Energy is a natural fit given their commitment to Nottingham, their national outlook and their commitment to working with like-minded businesses to make a meaningful difference through energy supply.

“The competition in their sector is intense and we are especially pleased to have found an energy partner with a whole-hearted commitment to customer service and innovation.

“We look forward to working closely with Yü Energy to bring our partnership to life by making further strides in the Trent Bridge customer experience of which we are already extremely proud.”
