Training company lands £400,000 funding to upskill employees

A Mansfield- and Leicester-based training company has been awarded £400,000 by the Education and Skills Funding Agency to provide classroom-based or workplace training for businesses.
Qdos Training have been awarded the cash under the Adult Education Budget. The company says it will either deliver the training onsite to employers if space is available, or at its premises in Mansfield.
Qdos will now be able to offer a range of L2 Health and Social Care Qualifications, Level 2 IT awards, L2 Warehousing and Storage Awards, Maths, English, Level 1 and Level 2 Business Administration and Customer Service awards, Team Leading qualifications and Hair and Beauty at Level 2 and Level 3. These will be stand-alone awards and not part of an apprenticeship, it says.
Clare-Parker Doyle, managing director, said: “These training programmes will upskill staff to ensure they have qualifications and develop knowledge in their chosen roles. We will also be able to help employers to help staff to reach government targets to ensure people are developed to Level 2 qualifications.”
